FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Q. How much fresh water do the boats carry?

A. Each boat has a fresh water capacity of 240 gallons, this is 300% more than our competition provides (the Presidential has 320 gallons and the Trump Series has 480 Gallons). For many groups 240 gallons is enough water to last 3 days. We suggest a slight adjustment in living habits while on board. Usually it is best to limit yourself to one shower per day. However, if you do run out of water, you simply go to one of the marinas along the river and get a fill up.

HOUSEBOAT RENTAL POLICIES

SORRY, NO PETS!

Houseboat Schedules

All houseboats can be reserved for a Three-day weekend, Four-day midweek or Seven-day week.

Three-day weekends depart Saturday morning and return Monday at noon. Four-day midweeks depart Tuesday morning and return Friday at noon. Seven-day cruises depart Tuesday or Saturday and return the following Monday or Friday. Regular boarding is at 9:00 AM the day of departure. Early boarding is at 4:30pm the afternoon before departue.

Early boarding

Most of our customers like to take advantage of our early boarding program. With this program you are able to board the boat the evening before departure; for example, if you are departing Tuesday morning you can board the boat Monday afternoon at 4:30 PM, this gives you a chance to acclimate to the boat and eliminates the need to rent hotel rooms.

Whenever possible if time allows and all maintenance needs are met, everyone taking advantage of the early boarding program will receive their training cruise upon arrival and will be released to spend the first night on the river. When time and/or maintenance needs do not allow, early boarders will stay in the marina. Due to daylight requirements you are not permitted to navigate through the locks on the evening of early boarding.

Boarding time for early boarding is 4:30 PM. Early boarding can be purchased for $100 per boat. We do not guarantee in any manner that the training cruise will be completed or that the boat will be released for cruising to the beach the evening of early boarding. Your overall enjoyment of your vacation is very important to us and we will not let a boat go out until it meets our standards. We promise to work very hard to allow the boat to cruise the evening of early boarding. We almost always make it happen!

All crews must have a minimum of 3 adults, able bodied teenagers may be substituted for a adults. Crews that do not have 3 adults / able bodied teenagers, may be limited to cruising between lock 7 and 8 unless prior arrangements are made with Huck's.

Reservation / Security deposits are $600 for all houseboats.
