DID YOU KNOW....

The buoys on the Upper Mississippi River are tethered to a cable and are held in place by 1500 pounds of weight. Sometimes a barge will drive over the top of a buoy and crush it between the river bottom and the barge. The buoy may then break loose and float down river. The buoys can be moved off their location by flood waters and contact with barges.

Three to four times a year the USCG Cutter Wyaconda comes up the river and puts the buoys back in their proper location.

When boating on the Mississippi always assume that the buoys are in the wrong location and give them plenty of berth.

CUSTOMER COMMENTS

Huck:

Steve, Karen, Nancy and our families wanted to thank you and your staff for an outstanding river experience.

As you know, we had rented from other companies before and found your boats to be far superior to your other competition on the river. The boat itself was clean, the instructions given by your staff were great, everything worked, you were there when we needed you..........what more can I say! WE HAD AN OUTSTANDING VACATION!!!

We will be sitting our families down together very soon to plan our next trip!

Please offer our special thanks to Dawn, Steve, Robyn and your entire staff. They were great!
